What artists like Tracey Emin have to say is decidedly NOT feminine but as Parker continuously points out in The Subversive Stitch embroidery’s notions of right and wrong, just like femininity is socially constructed.
What's the Difference?
One thing I enjoy about Germany is that there has been a minimal cultural shock. Having been to Germany twice before definitely has helped, but also Germany’s similarities to American culture. However, there are small and big differences between the US and Germany I would like to share!

The First Few Weeks.
Escaping America has been a nice reprieve. Besides all of the required events and informational sessions I have enjoyed my time here. I even enjoyed my travel here...
Waiting to Start.
I lay here in this pitch-black hotel room staring at the ceiling. My mind is racing full of everything and nothing. I don’t know what to make of this feeling; anxiety plus excitement plus dread plus exhaustion plus every other feeling in the world. However, I know I am ready for this adventure to begin.
